This is a rare, hard to find Chanel 1988 Vintage Turquoise Blue Full Flap Bag 24k GHW. The blue shiny lizard is a deep turquoise blue, almost like a cornflower blue. The bag is 40 years old, from the 80s era when the closure on the full flaps were the snap-on kind, later changed to the CC turnlock with knob.
Interior lined in blue lambskin, and the chain on this bag can be tucked inside to be used as a clutch - a convertible versatile bag.
As many know, Chanel discontinued the production of exotics in 2019.
In turquoise blue lizard leather and 24k gold plated hardware. This is the smaller of the two sizes of the vintage full flap.
This item is in excellent condition with very few signs of normal use. Corners show light rubbing at some corners but not scuffs, and not visible at arm's length. The interior lambskin shows some fading, including on the letters. The sticker is pristine and clean. Hardware is clean and shiny. It is a deep, yellow 24k gold plated hardware which is impossible now to find in stores as it is no longer produced. Interior is clean. The beautiful lambskin is petal-soft, never refurbished, and representative of a time period when Chanel's quality was at its height.
